Tucked away on the South Eastern coast of Sri Lanka is the lazy little fishing village of Arugam Bay, rated as one of the top ten surf destinations in the world. It is richly endowed with a beautiful stretch of ocean and vast expanses of deserted beach. In season (April to October), its appeal to surfers is obvious but throughout the year it is simply a lovely place to kick back and unwind.
